Fort Adams
Fort Adams Point State Park Fort Adams
is located in the Fort Adams Point State Park overlooking Newport Harbor.
The fort dates from 1824. The fort is a great example of military
engineering. There are a number of events held during the year on the park
grounds. It is one of the sites you will see when taking a

library but a museum as well. The oldest book in there collection dates
back to the late 1400's. In addition they have collections of historical

Trinity Episcopal Church

historic church is one of the more striking and beautiful buildings in
Newport. It has been recently restored. It is open for tours (donations
accepted). Many famous people including Queen Elizabeth and George
Washington have worshipped there. The tour was quite interesting and
informative.

Save The Bay Exploration Center

The Exploration Center is located on
Easton's Beach. Even though the center appears small, it is packed with
interactive educational exhibits. Save the Bay has a number of other
events and activities devoted to understanding the ecology of the marine
ecosystem and preserving it.
